i would say the optimal amount of time you’d want to spend to learn russian is 1 hour per day. i have my classes set up to 5 minutes per day for about 8 months (like a lot of the courses). i noticed that i was having to review all of the previous lessons every time i started a new one. i’m trying to decide if it’s worth spending another $40-45 for a 30 minute course. i’m trying to decide if i want to get the book as well. i do have a few books though. the pimsleur book and the rosetta stone book. i’ll use one to confirm what i’m learning and the other to practice with. a great way to learn a language is to read and read. then read and read some more. then read some more. i have also found that it’s very hard to learn without speaking to another person or many people. i have a few friends who speak russian and it’s easy to pick up what they say and add it to my vocabulary.

hi there donovan, thanks for the review! i think the most important thing to do is to learn as much as possible and practice as much as possible. pimsleur is a great resource, but after a few weeks i found that i was beginning to forget a lot of it. so i ended up spending a few hours a week on it for a while, and then started to learn russian from the rosetta stone book. they are both great resources, and i hope you find what you are looking for. good luck with learning and seeing the world!

this was a great review. i got to lesson 10 of russian. i was a bit slow with it bc i wanted to master each lesson, so the 30 minute lesson might be repeated 2-3 times over a couple of days. i wasnt satisfied w/ 80% and then move on. it saved me in the ukraine when i was getting in to the country. i bluffed my way in w/ the little russian i learned. i was given compliments on my accent and i have retained about 50% of what i learned 15 years ago, so pimsleur is definitely my go to. i tried babbel and rosetta stone, but just didnt seem to work very well for me. i love the subscription and plan to use it and help my kids learn a new language or two along the way.

i have been a pimsleur student for a long time now. i had the opportunity to try it again and i was excited. the course is great but not perfect. i have enjoyed every course since the beginning but i did have a few minor issues with it. the course is not perfect but it is very good. i have been doing the courses for 5 years. i started from level 3 and i was very positive. it takes a long time to level up. the courses are not too long, but to level up you have to do the exercises of the course. i can see that my level 7 is not perfect but i am very happy with it. it is not perfect but i like the course because it is not a bad course and it is very good for beginners. i think it is a good course for anyone. it has a lot of grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation. i think the most important is to be patient and a little patience. it is not bad for anyone, even non-speakers. it is good for people who want to learn a language and want to live abroad. it is not bad for people who travel and want to speak the language because it is good for the basics. i think that it is not perfect but it is very good.
i am an intermediate learner of russian. i started with level 3, in which i was lost because i wanted to learn it in a shorter time than the duration of the program. i started level 4, thinking it would get faster, but it was the same. i tried to study a bit at work and it didn’t really help because i’m not a native speaker. for this reason, i decided to try pimsleur. i’m not very sure about the results i got but i really like the course and i like the language itself. the language is easy to learn, and at the end i can say a few words. it has nice exercises and also a good grammatical explanation. if you can find good teachers to help you with the pronunciation, it is very useful. for this reason, i would recommend it.
