one of the big problem with this film is that it isnt really a good movie. its full of awkward plot points and scenes that arent well-integrated into the film. the plot, after all, isnt really bad, but it just happens that theres too many things happening. bianca is introduced with a bit of a backstory, but its never fully explained how she ended up in alto mare, and theres no real reason for her to be there. it does become clear that bianca and ash are related, but nothing is really explained as to how that relationship came about. for example, it turns out that ash has met bianca before – but its never explicitly explained how this is the case. the film does also have its share of sub-par acting and overacting. for instance, i found the bit where bianca plays the pokmon trainer from before to be a little silly, as shes behaving like a stereotypical show-off pokmon trainer. there are also some moments where the actors arent acting very well, like when oakley and his drones are chattering in the background. the dma is also pretty weak, with some uninteresting physics and a rather convenient explanation as to how the citys defenses work. i also found the ending a little weak, not really providing a payoff for all the work that was put into the film. none of this is a big deal, but it just didnt really feel like a solid product.

ariados is angry with the heroes for taking the soul dew from him, but goes to a hidden area in the temple to find bianca. she has the important clue he needs to figure out how to control latios and latias and use their powers to take control of the machine. meanwhile, bianca and her father have another problem. the heroes have taken the soul dew and vanished, and bianca must stop ariados from using it before he destroys the world.
