they land on a pristine new planet and can finally breathe clean air once again. but their meeting comes at a price — their planet has been stolen and it’s now under the control of the evil and corrupt government.
the two kids (and a weird, badly written robot) team up to rescue their world, aided by the dream girl.

it’s hard to imagine a livelier party than the ones on board the queen mary during the journey from new york to england, but the show goes on. everything’s in high spirits for the benefit of the visitors. one cat has a new tail that’s been sewn onto it, and these good times are interrupted by the arrival of the news of the sabotage of the liner.
when the film opens, the characters look out of time, like the people in the 40’s in a period drama. they stand on the promenade as if they are unaware of their audience, which includes several puzzled-looking zoo animals in cages.
during the intermission, a show is put on on the queen mary, two girls perform in a froth of flirty costumes while a chorus of young men sing along. a dance routine in the second half is rather more sedate. if it wasn’t for the circumstances, you might be in a nightclub, not in a floating luxury liner.
the musical entertainment in the queen mary has been carefully planned. there are elaborate orchestra interludes and the guests are treated to a series of performances by the dance troupe, all of which work to an increasingly familiar standard. the big dance number comes as the queen is watching with prince philip, who’s described as ‘the man who never learns.’
prince philip faces a serious dilemma. he has to argue for the united states to join the war, while at the same time his wife is representing great britain at a peace conference in france. prince charles has taken his place at the meeting. the problem is that the us delegation don’t trust the british. some of them think she is an american agent. the diplomatic consequences could be dire.
