“Rise, Tarnished, and Be Guided By Grace to Brandish the Power of the Elden Ring and Become an Elden Lord”

This was an interesting concept. I’ve never really paid much attention to the world of Elden after my initial playthroughs of the games. This one, however, was recommended to me so I finally decided to give it another try.
The art style is almost like a less artsy version of Kingdom Hearts in terms of style. It’s a bit of a mix of it but with a more modern/clean style than most.
Game play wise, it’s more of a turn based battle system. You have little controls where you make your characters move. Then you choose what attack to perform and take a turn. Then the CPU does the same and when it’s your turn, your characters continue their actions. You get a little free reign to move anywhere but when you go outside of the bounds of the world, you get the message that you aren’t allowed to leave. This also means that when you go to interact with new things, like press a door, the action’s on the other side of the world and you have to travel through the map to do it. It feels a little bit like the ps2 game Fire Emblem-ish at times and it adds to the concept.
The game is more like a visual novel than a typical RPG. You explore the world, talk to people, interact with maps and even text boxes. The entire story is brought to you through text so once you get used to that and finish some of the sidequests, it’s a very compelling listen.
The gameplay is pretty straight forward. You start with 5 characters at your disposal and once you get there by finding them on your own or waiting for them to pop up on random encounters, you can level them up to make them stronger and more powerful. You can also put points into stats to increase what they do. There are about 8 stats per character and to make them stronger, you have to grind out enough points. When you level up, you gain
