Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system developed by Roblox Corporation that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. You invite people to live in your house in the game, giving each person a unique room, and you can customize their appearance, including adding clothing items, furniture, and decorations. You can also build a house and design its rooms however you want. You can also adjust every aspect of gameplay in Roblox, including camera angles, camera controls, and rules and modes of play. Every person in your house is displayed as a cartoon avatar who talks to you in a chat window, and you can converse with them by typing in their chat window.
When new people join your Roblox, you can send them to other rooms or stories, or you can send them straight to their own room. You also host events or games in your house, inviting people to join you for games. For example, you might decide to have a Roblox Hunger Games night, and everyone will be invited to play Hunger Games against each other in their house, trying to be the last person alive.
You can also upload and play your own games in Roblox. You can either download a premade game from the Library or design your own from scratch. You can make scripts that control how your game plays, including moving characters around and changing dialogue and other elements. You can also use the “chat box” to write comments for people to read.
There are also games hosted on Roblox that are specifically geared toward children. Roblox’s entry into the gaming industry has been compared to Minecraft
