The whole world is changing, and media creators have only been par for the course. The first iteration of the iPad introduced only basic low-end photo editing. That, in itself, is not surprising. For whatever reason, I could not buy the upgrade to Lightroom 5. Even though the new features are well worth the cost, my reasons are few and unimpressive. Maybe I made a mistake for not upgrading sooner. Maybe I don’t have space for more images. I don’t know. But despite the enhancements, Lightroom continues to be a good, solid medium for photographers to get things done, though I’m sure they will find more and more use for Lightroom 5 as time goes on. Some of these new features will come in handy for anyone, even those choosing not to buy Lightroom 5.

The update also includes some good new features for the iPad, including an option for “Share for Review” to edit photos using AirDrop on the iPad Air 2. Sharing for review is also available on the iPad Air, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3. In addition, Adobe has stated that the new “Smart Guides” may also be applicable to iPhone users. That feature is currently in the beta stage, with Lightroom announced as a candidate for development.

Recently I reviewed Lightroom 5 . Lightroom continues to play a major role in professional photo editing, thanks to Adobe’s flagship product. I have dipped a toe into the Lightroom 5 pool to see if it is worth switching, and my verdict is a solid “why not?”

Clone Stamp makes it easier to duplicate any image or a selection. You can choose to duplicate based on the layer (where the selection or an image is on a layer), without going through the layers entirely.
