01 CHAPTER 1. INTRODUCTION
The report entitled “Tolerance Data 2009” is the third companion to the Key Indicators of Maltese Development (KI) series following the previous two reports. KI 2009 is part of the Key Indicators of Maltese Development (KI) series and is published under the responsibility of the. Maltese Parliament. The KI series is a set of annual compilations of statistics on the living standards of the Maltese population reflecting the socio-economic situation in Malta. KI 2009 is based on the latest data available and it is developed from the Centre for Research and Statistics data. The report aims to provide critical information concerning the main characteristics and profiles of the Maltese population.
