i’m not saying the film is bad. it’s certainly not the worst movie in the series. however, the fact that it is so bad hurts, because if it had just been another run-of-the-mill transformers movie that was just an average film, there wouldn’t have been quite as much ire directed at the film. i mean, just look at the other films in the franchise. i’m not saying that they’re always great films, but they’re all relatively watchable movies. but when the film is a total train wreck, then everyone is going to say that the film sucks. and this film does suck.

all in all, this is a movie i can’t recommend to anyone. if you’re a transformers fan, then you’ll probably be disappointed. if you’re a fan of bad movies, then you’ll probably be disappointed. if you’re a fan of the original film, then you’ll probably be disappointed. if you’re a fan of terrible movies, then you’ll be disappointed. if you’re a fan of mediocre films, you’ll probably be disappointed. if you’re a fan of terrible movies, you’ll probably be disappointed. if you’re a fan of bad movies, you’ll probably be disappointed. if you’re a fan of mediocre movies, you’ll probably be disappointed.

fans of battlestar galactica might be interested to know that the same company that makes the movie vipers from the battlestar galactica episode “the hand of god” is making the movie transformers: the last knight ; titanus is the company that created the unique “shatterglass” sound of the cylon vipers. they are also a big provider of vfx for movie and tv projects around the world.

the last two films, optimus prime and his crew went to far into space, to end up right next to earth. the last knight takes place on earth, but it’s about what happens when robots return to earth and end up in small groups. what happened to the space division? what happened to the small group of autobots? are they still together? is optimus still alive?

i’d like to address the “what’s this?” questions that the new framework is intended to address. i think one of the most important things it has to do is maintain a history of movie pages. we have our current one on the films page and it’s been a good one; i would like to maintain it for the feature movies page. similarly, we have a good history of the character pages that’s served us well and i would like to maintain that too. another important aspect of the pages that i want to address is the franchise itself. as this site grew, the focus on transformers has become less specific to the feature movies and more to the various media. we have a great page for the characters and we have an even better page for the feature films and series, but i’d like to maintain a page of their universe and history. and since the current universe that we have takes place roughly from 2007-2011, i’d like to add pages for 2007 and 2011 as well, so that we’d have a page for each year of the current continuity. the format of these pages could include a history of the film, a history of the media, a history of the characters, a history of the universe, and a summary of the media you’re presenting.
in terms of the movies, the pages could include each of the movies, each of the stages, and clips from each stage. we could include a page for the toy fair concept art that hasn’t appeared in the movies or any concept art that’s not in a movie. the page could also include the toys based on those designs. i know that this is going to take a lot of work, but it’s a worthwhile investment, and it will serve to make the page more useful as well as more informative.
