Kitten Super Adventure 5 (also known as Kittens) is a British comedy film directed by Brian Gibson and starring Harvey Keitel, Ewen Bremner and Harley Abbott. The film was released in 1979.
Plot
The film opens with Keitel (narrator) jumping into a kettle of boiling water and delivering a monologue in modern-day Canadian English.
Sophie (Bremner) lives in a place called “(You Is Where You Is)” in Saskatchewan. She’s got no respect, gets through life with “chance favours the less fortunate” and has lots of girlfriends. Sophie lives on the third floor of an apartment block. Her job is to feed sparrows and to look for the “special” child each year. The sparrows are fed by ringing a bell which coincides with a clock counting three and then at 12 midday.
Three times a day Sophie goes to the village shop where there’s only one shopkeeper. He’s chubby, has long hair, travels with his dog and is known as “Jiddy”. He’s asked lots of people to come along and be there and they always leave. The shopkeeper puts his name on the “Bingo” board, lets you have a go and if you have a good Bingo number you get a turkey with stuffing and gravy, then a nice Christmas pudding for pudding. Once you’ve bought your turkey, the shopkeeper simply runs off.
Sophie gets promoted to be the “Stewardess” of the “Nice Room”. The Nice room is where new arrivals normally stay. That’s why the shopkeeper is so delighted. The “Stewardess” gets to wait on the new arrivals who ask lots of stupid questions like; Are there mummies? Is this a jail? Is Santa Claus real? The stewardess gives them all the answers and on Christmas Eve a man comes in to say he’s lost his wife. The stewardess takes him to the lady with 14 children! The kids sing hymns and the lady sings along. The first little boy says that they all love him. Everyone has to fill in a “good deed” form. The stewardess tries to fill it in on behalf of the lady (who can’t even write, and writes the answer as “can’t be bothered”). The stewardess gets her comeuppance.

With a resume that is freakishly filled with video games, at the age of 11, Tite Kubo was already a big fan of anime and fantasy fiction. He drew his first piece of fan art at the age of 9 and at the age of 12 he began drawing and pencilling in his more seriously, focusing on becoming an artist. In 1995, Kubo began working for the manga publisher Shogakukan. For the next six years, Kubo drew Princess Mononoke, a tale about the kingdom of the animals against the humans. From 1997-1998, Kubo began drawing the series known as Bleach, a story about a group of high school students living in the same world, and using their abilities to fight against a member of a secret organisation called Soul Society, which has been absorbing their souls and turning them into powerful vessels called “Soul Reapers”. The series has amassed a huge fan base and Kubo is the second best selling mangaka in Japan.
