FPS Creator is a good program, but it’s not an easy program to use for newbies. It does come with a large number of Pre-Made Weapon, Weapon, Vehicle and Aircraft model packs, and if you are a Gaming Fancier you will know that there is a huge amount of models out there. The main application that you will use for modeling is the basic FPS Creator that comes with most or all the X1 versions. Yes the old program has that other name, namely the Weapon Welder. However the FPS Creator X9 which can import and create new weapons, comes in a nice Package together with the “X9” version of theX1 software, a Shotgun game called DemoCamp. This DemoCamp is a Lite version of the regular FPS Creator X9 which has a lot more features such as detailed weapon selection, a game tutorial and more. To publish your game with the FPS Creator you will need to buy the full version. The price tag is the real kicker, unless you pay about as much as the “DemoCamp” itself, which is $49.99 / 38.99 / 33.99 or more.

In this Tutorial I’m going to show you how to use FPS Creator X9 to easily create new weapons for your FPS game, or more generally speaking to create new models for use in your own FPS Editor. With FPS Creator X9 you can create and edit nearly every type of 3D model you can imagine. I’m not going into detail about the features of FPS Creator, instead I will just be focusing on creating a new gun, weapon, aircraft or whatever!

Although its name might sound complex, FPS Creator is extremely simple. In fact creating your own models is easier than creating a game, once you get your head around the program’s structure and functions. As you download and install the X9 version it will install a lot of files in the Programs files directory.

Downloaded this for an older project I’m trying to get going. It seems fine so far. Just need to get a bit more with the functions. As far as integrating this with GameGuru, that’s the trick. I’ve tried, but it just doesn’t work. In the past I have created assets with this and with GameGuru, but now I’m thinking I should not use FPS Creator for simple projects anymore. The bugs are too much, and the support is not what it needs to be. I’ll stick to GameGuru for simple projects.
I’m glad this works for you guys. I downloaded it a couple weeks ago and am trying to get set up. It was a little bit confusing for me. I’m new to GameGuru and now I gotta figure out if this will work with GameGuru 6. If anybody got a review on how to set this up with GG 6 please post it up here. I am assuming that this wont work cause i have installed the new version of GG on my C: Drive.
I bought this setup yesterday and tried to open the file with Game Guru. The website states that this is supported but when I try to open a downloaded file with Game Guru, it says: “Program can’t start because the file FPS Creator.exe is either not found or is not a valid archive.”. I’ve also tried to unzip the file with WinRAR, but it didn’t help. Please help. I don’t know how to fix this issue.
I guess we should start at the very beginning, in the FPS Creator by EA I’m talking about the X1. Yes there are more X1 software version available, but still the X1 is the most basic and oldest version of the software. The reason I’m talking about the X1 is simply that it’s the version that I am using to create this article. So how does FPS Creator X1 work?
