if you are using a computer that has a windows 98 operating system, you can boot directly into the windows 98 desktop when the computer starts. if you are using a pc that has windows nt, you will still boot into the windows nt desktop. you can boot into the windows 98 desktop from your windows nt desktop. if you are using windows me, windows 95, windows 3.1, windows for workgroups, windows for dos, or windows 3.11, you will still boot into the windows nt desktop. (you will still be able to boot into the windows 98 desktop when you are using those older operating systems.)

with windows 98, you can easily switch to a single-user mode. a single-user mode is a special mode of operation in which you can use the computer without the need for a user account. in addition, you can use the computer without worrying about any other users. in windows 98, you can enter single-user mode by selecting the “start” button and then selecting the “system” icon. in the “system” window, select the “start” menu item and then select the “run” icon. when you run the “run” command, you should see the “computer” icon. when you click on the “computer” icon, you will see a new window that contains a set of tools.
