NSNotification center of Alarm Manager

i made an Alarm Manager to make some API calls
and this is what i did so far
and it all works ok,
[cantak mentioned here (exactly) my issue,
because i used NSNotification center in the same class,
and NSNotificationCenter is not deallocated since its class isnt nil
(alarm manager is a class itself).
so the Notification center is never deleted since i didnt call [cantak.notificationCenter removeObserver:self]
so i should call this method somewhere in the class that this class is subclassed from.
so i made a method that will take place when a notification occurs and then i pass the notification object to it and then call [cantak.notificationCenter removeObserver:self] but that does not work, the notification does not occur and in the method there is nothing to remove it.
any ideas why?
